Why study theory?
- Whichever musical instrument you play, a good knowledge of music theory is invaluable.
- All my pupils study music theory as this provides an excellent basis for understanding any music which is to be performed.
- I encourage all of my pupils to enter for graded theory exams in parallel with their practical exams.
- Grade 5 theory is a pre-requisite for higher graded practical exams.
